What is a home inspection?

According to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors,

A general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property ..., performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. (Standards of Practice, p.3)

Does the home inspection look for code compliance?

No.  A home inspector is not a code official or code inspector.

What are your fees?

This is not a difficult question to answer, but to do so correctly, you will need to schedule an appointment with our easy to use online appointment maker here.  As you complete all of the requested information you will be given a price.  Please remember, that our service includes a free home energy report, an emailed report for your convenience and if you attend the inspection we will also present you with 3-ring binder that includes informative educational material.  Additionally, we are always looking for ways to increase the value of our service and these offerings may change without notice.
